my thoughts for your consideration

Taken the wrong way? May 17, 2011

This entry is specifically to clarify a point, as Alex has said that he read my first entry and thinks it could be taken the wrong way or misinterpreted.

So for the record let me reiterate:  This is MY blog. So I can write what I like. It is neither in my nature nor my intention to offend or upset anyone. However if upon reading something I have written YOU take it personally or misread my point then that is on your shoulders. I cannot be responsible for how you feel or think about subjects or if by chance I touch a nerve. Obviously I don’t know what is going on in everyone else’s lives (despite what Alex says & thinks about facebook) so it may well be coincidence. Like when you see a friend has a great status on facebook which totally catches your mood you are tempted (& sometimes do!) copy it to your own status. And by the same token when you read a status that hits home a little bit, it’s not like they necessarily put it there to have a go at you – if they have I’d review your friends LOL.

Think of it a bit like one of those columns in a trashy magazine. Sometimes you agree with what the bloody Z list celebrity columnist says!! (God forbid) and the other 99% of the time you think they talk utter rubbish!  But then who cares what they think 🙂

I suppose I could just upload some photo’s of the kids & some holiday snaps with a running commentary of how many nappies I’ve changed so far in my life but I’m gonna hope that you find MY blog a slight improvement on that.

Anyways boring stuff: Gym & healthy eating going well further updates to follow but not too often eh? 😉

The Truth Will Set You Free, ……. but first it will piss you off! May 9, 2011

So finally took the big step & went back to the gym this morning. I love the people at Target Fitness, always so welcoming and so not like other gyms. It really was good to be back. So this time ……..? Strict diet started yesterday with a vengence so need to keep at it or not book holiday this year!

Weight issues are not my conversation of choice (ask my husband!) however sometimes needs must and they are a big part of most women’s lives whether they admit it or not.

So the truth is I am overweight and yes it does piss me off that I gain weight so easily. If the powers that be were going to give me this life then the least they could have done is make me one of those people that lose weight with stress!?

I love this phrase The truth will set you free, … but first it will piss you off!

It’s so true. You find something out about someone or an event or whatever and it’s hard to take or accept the information. Yes in certain situations it will piss you off initially whether it be because you were lied to, deceived in other ways or because you are embarassed that you fell for it. But once you get over that initial finding out/truth thing it feels better, even good, and then you can move on with your life without that negative energy dragging you down. Sometimes when you look back – not in anger 😉 you may even notice more things and again once you realise the truth you can go through that same phase. Eventually however you have to believe it’s for the better. Time can be a great healer and you come to terms with what has happened. And if you can look back and think you gave it your best (in whatever way) in an honest & open way then there are no regrets, walk on with your head held high and value your real friends.

Be glad that you are free of any negativity (or energy vampires as I have heard them called cos they suck the life right out of ya!)

Life is good…… 🙂

And as they say “People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime” ……

Julie Noted!

Yes it’s a play on words and the ‘proper’ phrase duly noted means the information received will get the attention and consideration it is due or in modern terms,  I hear what your saying! You may not agree with them but you know what they mean.

I like the bit about getting the attention & consideration it is due. I have a habit of over analysing & dwelling on things. Sometimes giving too much thought to minor issues (or people) that really don’t deserve my time or energy.  Let’s hope this is a new leaf being turned and from now on the right amount of attention allocated according to the importance of the matter or situation.

“Hallelujah!”  I hear my friends saying.
